A loan of $375 helped to buy bags of fertilizer for her potato plants.

Norma's story

Norma, 39, is a happy woman. She lives with Fabián, her husband of 13 years. Together they have 3 sons they are raising in their own home, located in the neighborhood of Ancalayo. She greatly enjoys always having work to do. Consequently, since she was a young woman she has worked in agriculture, planting potatoes and corn in small quantities since she only plants seasonally.

Norma tells us that she most enjoys cattle raising and she owns 3 large cows and four recently born small calves. From them she extracts 10 liters of fresh milk which she sells for 2 soles a unit, thus earning a daily income for the home as well as covering the cost of vitamins so that the cows produce even more milk. In addition, her husband works as a bricklayer in home construction. Thus he earns a very nice monthly income which is used to meet some household expenses and enables them to save some money for their sons.

This is Norma’s second loan with MFP and she awaits their assistance so that she can concretize her plans. She promises to make her payments on time. As well, she is grateful to be a part of the association because all the members are responsible and very supportive people. Upon receiving support, Norma will invest the money requested in the purchase of natural fertilizer to spread on her potato plants.
