A loan of $375 helped to buy cattle and sheep.

Yede's story

Yede, 27, is an unassuming woman. She lives with Fredy, her husband of 7 years. They have three children: Lisbeth, Juan Carlos and Luzmila who they care for in their own house located in Pantipata Annex. Like any hardworking woman from the countryside with hopes, she starts her days in the fields caring for her corn, pea and potato crops which provide her family’s only source of income. This woman’s will to work is extraordinary because her youngest daughter is just a few months old and needs much care. Her husband helps her with the heavy jobs, carrying sacks of feed and during harvest and transporting animals she raises to the Acostambo livestock market on Fridays where she earns extra money selling sheep and cattle. She’d now like to have a business to earn additional profits.

She belongs to the “Tancar Puquio” communal bank and this is her first MFP loan. She’s happy because she’ll have financial support so she feels surer that she’ll make progress with her work. She commits to make her installment payments and she is pleased to be a member of her association because all the members are responsible, very mutually supportive people. If Yede were to receive your support, she’ll use the requested money to buy cattle and sheep for her business.
