A loan of $800 helped to purchase beauty products for selling (hair weaves and extensions).

Mariana's story

She was born in the town of Matola, province of Maputo, southern Mozambique. She is married and has four children, all of which attend school. She completed 9th grade and didn't continue because her parents lacked financial conditions. She lives with her family in a house she owns and does not support anyone else.
She has been a businesswoman for over ten years. She sells hair weaves and extensions and earns an income of about 7.000mt a month. She uses it to pay for home expenses and saves part of it in her bank account.
She has never had loans in other banks. She first heard of Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client of this institution. This is her second loan with Hluvuku. It is for 21.000mt, which she intends to use to purchase hair weaves and extensions so that she can increase the amount of her merchandise.
She promises to repay according to the schedule. In the future she plans to invest more in order to improve her business. For that purpose she intends to request more loans from Hluvuku.
