Amberki's story

Amberki is from the village Vazisubani, Kakheti Region, East Georgia. He is 24 years old and lives with his parents and 21 year-old brother. Amberki and his parents are involved in family farming activities and his brother works in local car washing service company as car-washer.

Amberki’s family has 2 calves. Also they have 290 peach trees. The family owns 0.7 hectare of agricultural land, where tomatoes and cucumbers are grown. Amberki sells harvested peaches and vegetables locally to the retailers. Total average monthly income of the family is 800 Laris. Amberki requested credit for purchasing fuel for tilling the land, in order to get a good harvest of vegetables next season. Also, part of the loan will be used for purchasing a calf. Amberki will sell all three calves in spring for a higher price and get a profit. He plans to use the received profit for improving family living conditions.
