A loan of $750 helped to buy shoes to sell.

Nelly's story

Nelly, 63, is a friendly, hardworking woman. She has four adult children from her marriage, but her husband sadly died a long time ago now. She owns her home, where she lives beside her daughter and son-in-law, plus a grandson who is her pride and joy. Nelly works as a seamstress. She designs clothing, as well as making repairs and sewing new clothes for her customers, who always seek her out because of the quality of her work. She has a small workspace in her home where she has been working for 47 years, since she's been sewing all her life. She loves sewing, which is her favorite part of this job. It has also given her the opportunity to educate and raise her children. This will be her sixteenth credit with MFP. She and the other members of her village bank work well together, since they are all very responsible, conscientious people, and she hopes to continue being the good member they've come to know. She will use the requested loan to buy shoes, since she's starting some new projects and plans to sell these products for the Christmas season.
