Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $750 helped a member to buy groundnuts and raw materials.

Shalom Of Sewa 2 Group's story

This is 36-year-old Revonia from Harare. She is single with one child. Revonia runs a manufacturing business producing peanut butter and detergents. The business has been in operation for four years. She says the major challenges she faces are lack of funds, the high costs of transport to carry stock, and price fluctuations.

Revonia has requested a loan of $150 to purchase groundnuts and raw materials. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve production levels and increase income for the family. In the future, Revonia plans to open a big peanut butter-making company.
