A loan of $1,750 helped a member to buy fruits and vegetables for selling.

Nasreen's Group's story

Nasreen is 53 year old, an embroidery expert who shares the financial burden with her husband by doing decorative embroidery. She also has an animal selling business. She buys goats and sheep in their younger age, raises them and sells at a profit to butchers.

Her husband is a milk seller. He operates his business from the shop and offers good rates to his customers.

Nasreen is the mother of three sons and a daughter. Her sons have businesses of selling fruits and vegetables while her daughter is a seamstress.

Nasreen has applied for a loan loan from Kiva partner Asasah for the further expansion of her eldest son’s business. With the loan he will buy vegetables and fruits of fresh quality that will allow him to increase his profits and sales.

He has been operating his business for many years and Nasreen is hopeful that an investment will help him make more money from it.
