Jihad is a 23-year-old Lebanese single man living with his parents. Despite his young age, Jihad was not afraid to start taking responsibilities on his own. He has worked as a car mechanic since 2009 and was willing to continue his career working in the same occupation. Today, he is requesting to borrow $1,500 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase a minivan for his business. This will allow him to transport needed car spare parts and mechanical machines to serve customers wherever they face car damages. In the future, he plans to further enlarge his garage
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
