A loan of $575 helped to buy articles of clothing that she has ordered for the end of year season.

Saidi's story

Saidi is 29, and lives in the La Pradera neighborhood with her parents and younger sister. She sells catalogue products and a variety of merchandise, such as jeans, t-shirts, blouses, sandals, and other things. She sells products through specialized guides from four cosmetic and clothing companies. With her business she helps with the family's expenses.

She has a broad clientele, who enjoy dealing with her because of her personalized sales approach. With her profit she covers her costs, and contributes a great part of the family's expenses. Her profitability is high, because she takes advantage of most of the special offers in the product catalogues, and because the profit margin is high on her other merchandise.

She has good working capital, and turnover of accounts payable and inventory is rapid.

Currently she is applying for her first Credikiva loan from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to invest especially in articles of clothing that she has ordered for the end of year season, a peak sales period based on what her sales experience tells her.
