Elder Oney

Honduras
San Marcos, Honduras / Barber Shop

A loan of $325 helped to buy a cabinet.

Elder Oney's story

Elder, age 22, lives in the village of San Marcos in the Omoa municipality. He lives with his parents. He has always worked hard to be able to help them cover the family expenses. This year he is going to graduate as a trade expert and receive his high school diploma.

Three years ago he started his own barber shop in the community. He rents a place where he offers hair cutting services. This young man is a very hard-worker, and he is very dedicated to his trade. Through the years his barber shop has gained stability, and now he has plenty of customers.

Elder will use this loan for 6,000 lempiras to buy a cabinet (piece of furniture) where he can place his work accessories. Elder hopes to continue working and maintaining his clientele in order to be able to move forward with his business and to support his family.
