Ayawavi's story

Ayawavi is a 40-year-old woman. She is married to a customs broker. They have four children who are all in school. Their eldest is 18 years old and their youngest is 8 years old.

Ayawavi has been working as a food retailer (rice, soap, vegetable oil...) since 2003. She sells her products from home after having bought them in Lomé. Her main difficulty is a slump in sales.

Ayawavi has requested her first loan from WAGES in order to re-invest in her business. She would like to save her profits.

Over the coming years, Ayawavi would like to increase her stock. She says that she plans to use the profits to take care of her family.
