A loan of $1,100 helped to buy pigs and chickens.

Jhanaeth Judid's story

Sra. Jhanaeth is a member of the Communal Bank “Mujeres Progresistas” (Progressive Women). She lives in the parish of Victoria del Portete (Cuenca), a place with a frigid climate. There are wide open plains that are conducive to raising livestock. The people have maintained the culture and traditions of their towns. They are friendly people who have very warm hearts.

Doña Jhanaeth is 33 years old, married, and has six children (ages 12, 11, 9, 7, 5, and 3). Her two oldest children are not studying because they don’t enjoy it. The next three children attend a school in the city. Her husband works at a job that was offered to him. They live in a rental property since they do not own a home.

Sra. Jhanaeth devotes herself to taking care of her children since they are still young. She also spends time at home raising and selling chickens and pigs. Jhanaeth is receiving her fourth loan from the Communal Bank and will invest in the purchase of pigs and chickens. Her goal is to have more animals to raise.
