A loan of $600 helped to buy seeds and farming supplies.

Victor Manuel's story

Víctor Manuel, 32, is married and has a son; he lives with his wife and 16-year-old son in Chillanes, Bolívar Province.

The “Vuelve la Esperanza” (Hope Returns) communal bank has 13 members, both men and women, and is located in San José del Tambo Parish sixty minutes from the Office.

Víctor is a corn, soya and cocoa bean farmer. His purchases and his sales take place in San José del Tambo every weekend.

He is asking for the loan to buy seeds, fertilizer, supplies, urea, farm manure and weed killers for the crops.

With help from the loan he will improve and increase production and earn better income.

His dream is to see his son finish his schooling and to buy a house.

In his free time he likes playing volleyball and he enjoys the carnivals.
