A loan of $1,000 helped to buy seeds and farming supplies.

Lucrecia Analia's story

Lucrecia Analía is 48 years old and living in a common law relationship. She has a daughter. She lives with her husband and 12-year-old daughter in Chillanes Canton, Bolívar Province.

The “Monte de los Olivos” communal bank is located in San José del Tambo Parish sixty minutes from this office. It has 14 members, men and women. This communal bank is dedicated to short cycle corn, orange and cocoa bean farming.

Lucrecia is a corn, orange and cocoa bean farmer. Her purchases and her sales take place in Chillanes Canton. She’s asking for the loan to buy seeds and farming supplies like urea, Matamonte [herbicide], fertilizer and weed killer to maintain her crops in good condition.

The loan will be very helpful because she’ll be able to improve her quality of life. The challenges she faces are frequent: competition and pests. Her dream is to buy a van to go out on family trips. In her free time she likes to play with her daughter.
