Orlando's story

Orlando lives in the south of the city of Barranquilla with his spouse and three children whose ages range from 4 to 8 years. He has a tire repair shop in the same neighborhood where he provides vehicle tire repair and service. His experience dates back to 1996 when he worked as a helper in a business similar to the one he has now and he decided to become independent and gradually purchased tools and equipment to launch his enterprise into the marketplace.

His goals are to make progress in this occupation to generate sizable income to attain the wellbeing of his family, especially his children with respect to their education providing one of quality for them that will lead to their success.

He is currently applying for his first loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo through Kiva that he’ll use to buy tires and inner tubes to increase his inventory. His present profit margin is no less than 37%, a financial indicator from which he projects his growth.
