Abdul's story

Meet 36-year-old Abdul from Calabatown. He is married with three children between the ages of 3 years and 11 years. He has four additional dependents that live with him because they are his relatives from the village. Two of his children are currently attending school.

In 2001, Abdul established his general merchandise business. He began his business because he wanted to generate more income. He also earns income from renting out a house. He says that the main challenge to his business is price inflation.

Abdul requires a loan in order to buy more cement, assorted drinks, provisions and bottled water. He hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow him to improve his standard of living. In the future, Abdul plans to expand his business more. He thanks you for your support.
