Guljamila's story

Guljamila is 49 years old, married and has five children. After the break-up of the Soviet Union, Guljamila's family received a plot of land, which became the first investment into the family business of farming and animal husbandry. Today, the family grows potatoes and beans on a 3.72 hectares of arable land and is also involved in breeding livestock and receiving a profit from sales of dairy and meat products. In order to further develop her business, Guljamila requested a loan in the sum of 100,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" for the purchase of cattle and sheep. Guljamila plans to use the income into increasing livestock quantity further.
