Carmen Lucrecia's story

Carmen is a member of the community bank Poloma, she lives in a neighborhood located in Parroquia del Valle, Cuenca; known for its beautiful landscapes, its people keep the culture and tradition of the town, they are friendly and kind, their main activities are trade, farming and many work in the city doing different activities.

Carmen is 33, married and has seven children ages 13,10,8,6,4,2 and 3 months, the older four go to the community school. Her husband works in agriculture, they live in a house they own.

Carmen works in agriculture, she grows vegetables and sells them and also cooks with them at home. She also works as a maid in a house in the city, but she only works there on a casual basis when they call her. At home she also grows and sells chicken and guinea pigs, she also trades a wide variety of grain.

This is her second loan with the community bank and is going to invest it in buying grains to sell them, and also to feed her animals.

Her goal is to make improvements to her house.
