Geremias's story

Their four children are 17, 15, 11, and 8 years old. All of the children attend school. Geremias supports his family of six with the sales from his grocery store.

He started his business with the little bit of money that he saved and with some loans from ODEF. The grocery store sells basic needs products like milk, meat, eggs, rice, beans, and salt, among other things. He also offers fast food, soft drinks and hygiene products like deodorant, toothpaste, and toilet paper. Geremias works seven days a week in order to tend to his customers.

With the current loan for 22,000 lempiras Geremias will increase his inventory of these products. He hopes to grow more and to excel as a small businessman in order to give his family a healthier life. His children’s education is very important to him, and he hopes to be able to give them the best education possible.
