A loan of $375 helped to buy sacks of fertilizer.

Rosa's story

Rosa, 56, is a cheerful woman. She lives with Raul, her husband of 20 years. They have 3 children but only take care of 2 of them in their own house which is located in the annex of San Pedro de Saño. Her main economic activity is farming. She plants corn and potatoes which she tends with great care as she must ensure the quality of her produce as at harvest time the very merchants visit her farm to negotiate for the produce. Her husband's help is crucial as together they make decisions to confront any difficulties such as a lack of labourers or the pests that afflict her crops. As she is a country woman she also keeps livestock, breeding 2 cows which give her milk that she subsequently sells to people of her area. She now wants to buy more farmland because she has plans to continue planting in large quantities. She belongs to the communal bank "San Pedro" and this is the 7th loan with MFP. She hopes for your collaboration so as to pursue her goals. She also promises once more to make her repayments. In addition, she likes being a part of her communal bank because all the members are responsible people and very united. Rosa, on receiving your support, will invest the money requested in the purchase of several sacks of natural fertilizers for her next crop of corn.
