A loan of $800 helped to stock more products and to buy a display case.

Dolores's story

Dolores, age 36, is single because she is a widow. She has three children (two boys and a girl) who are in school. They live in a marginally urban community of San Pedro Sula.

Her business is a grocery store where she sells food products (rice, beans, potatoes, bread, and medicine) and cleaning products. Dolores started her business with money that her sister lent her. Later, she managed to increase her inventory with her earnings. She says that she now has fixed customers. This allows her to have an increase in sales. Also, there is increased demand for more products.

She has currently requested her second loan in order to buy food, medicine, cleaning products, and a display case.

Her dream is to increase sales. She wants to grow financially in order to support her children’s education and to attain a stable business.
