A loan helped a member to buy silver jewelry for subsequent resale.

Agua Viva Group's story

“Agua Viva” is the name of this excellent group of women from the city of Itá which has been working with the Fundación since July, 2011. It’s a group of 15 women who are working in their fourth cycle already in a coordinated, mutually supportive fashion in the Fundación’s enterprising women program.

One of the women is María who sells silver jewelry. She comments that thanks to her kindness and sales abilities she’s attained a well-defined clientele. Through this work she’s been able to support her family and her household.

Since she’s doing so well, she’d like to continue with the business so is asking for a loan to buy a larger variety of jewelry so that she can attract more customers this way. She, as well as her other group members, is very happy for the opportunity Kiva and the Fundación gives them.

In this group: Celia, Marina, Andrea, Benicia, María, Leticia, María, Liliana, Rossmary, Nelida, Nelly, Juana, Vicenta, Rita, Julia
