A loan of $3,800 helped a member to buy men's and women's underwear for resale.

San Miguel Group's story

The San Miguel Women's Committee was formed in September 2007 by a group of 17 women. They are currently working very happily on their tenth loan cycle in a joint and supportive manner within the program. They say that they would like to continue working with the foundation as it has been very helpful to them.

One of the group's members, Natalia, sells underwear for both men and women. She has been in this business for some time and it makes her the income she needs to help with her household expenses. She says that the foundation have helped her a lot in her business and so she is requesting their help again through this loan which she will use to buy men's and women's underwear. This will enable her to continue with her sales. She is grateful for this opportunity that she is being given.
