The communal bank Mujeres Unidas is located in the city of Luque. The members used to be in another group but decided to continue working in the program through a new group. They are very hard-working women who want to help their families get ahead.

Mrs. Gloria is a hairdresser. She is 39 and married to Gustavo who is a Customs assistant. They have three daughters, a 16-year-old who is in the second year of middle school, another, 14, who is in the 8th grade and the youngest, a 12-year-old who is in 6th grade. She says her daughters are what motivate her to work hard since she wants to give them all she can and not deprive them of anything.

She is requesting a loan through the foundation and Kiva to buy hair color, gel, shampoo, make-up and other necessary supplies for her salon. She knows that this support will help her business greatly.

El comité de Mujeres Unidas es de la ciudad de Luque, se forma gracias a la unión de señoras de otro comité, las que decidieron seguir trabajando con el programa. Ellas son mujeres muy trabajadoras y luchadoras, que desean salir adelante y ayudar a sus familias.
La Sra Gloria es peluquera, tiene 39 años está casada con el Sr Gustavo, quien es auxiliar aduanero. Tienen tres hijas una de 16 años quien está en el 2do año de la media, la otra tiene 14 años, ella está en el 8vo grado y la ultima hija tiene 12 años ella está en el 6to grado. Dice que sus hijas son su razón de lucha, que por ellas trabajaría todo el día, ya que desea darles todo lo mejor, para que no pasen privaciones.
Ella solicita la ayuda de la fundación y de Kiva para la compra de tintes, gel, shampoo, maquillajes, y los otros insumos necesarios para su local. Sabe que esta ayuda la vendrá muy bien a su negocio.
