A loan of $1,825 helped to purchase milk cows and materials for a cattle-shed renovation.

Levan's story

Levan is from the village Sameba, South Georgia. He is 30 years old, married and lives with his family (wife, Nazibrola, 11 year-old son and 8 year-old daughter). The children go to school. The primary source of income for the family is agriculture. They have a dairy farm with 6 milk cows and 5 calves. Levan sells milk to a local milk processing company. Along with the dairy farm, the family owns 0.5 hectare of land, where potatoes are grown. Levan sells potatoes in Tbilisi (capital city of the country). Also, Levan works as a shepherd. During most parts of the day he is in the pasture.

Levan requested credit for the renovation of the cattle-shed, as it is already old and needs some improvement before winter comes. Also, a big part of the loan will be used for purchasing two additional milk cows. The family will get more milk and increase their income, which will be used for proper education of the children and better living conditions for the family.
