A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a larger quantity of flour, sugar, lard, yeast, eggs and other ingredients.

Rosa Elena's story

Rosa is 40 years old. She lives with her life's companion and their four children.

She has acquired excellent experience in bread making. Since she was born, her parents have worked in this activity. When she got married she opened her own bakery and now she has been running it for 17 years with her husband and their four children. They go to school in the morning and in the afternoon help with the household tasks.

Rosa travels in her vehicle to a city in the eastern region of the country to buy flour, sugar, lard, yeast, and other ingredients. The eggs are delivered to her house. She is asking Fundación Campo for a loan to buy a larger quantity of these raw materials. Her aim is to increase bread production and offer her customers better quality.

When she produces more bread, she will receive more income and this will help finance her children's studies and improve their quality of life. Rosa wants to buy a house for her oldest son, who is studying medicine, so he will be more comfortable and she will be less worried.
