A loan of $575 helped to buy sacks of fertilizer.

Percy's story

30-year-old Percy is a responsible and cheerful man. In spite of the constant problems he has faced, he has not been discouraged. On the contrary, he works hard to get ahead in life. He lives in his own home which is located in the town of Huaycha. One year ago his mother, who was his only companion, died. In spite of this, he continues working without rest as he would like to get ahead and achieve his goals. He started sowing potatoes, corn and fodder on his four plots of farmland four years ago. What he most enjoys about his work is having to take wise and important decisions such as when pests ruin his crops and he needs to care for and clean his crops all day long. "I learned this from my mother", he comments. In addition, Percy is well known among the traders in the city of Huancayo where he sells his harvests. He is a responsible man with many ambitions and he also raises cows. He has three good-quality cows and he hopes to increase the size of his herd as he would like to start producing dairy products in bulk. At the same time, he also works as a builder, building houses which makes him extra money.

Percy is a member of the 'San Miguel' community bank and this is his seventh loan from MFP. He hopes to receive the support of each and every one of you so that he can achieve his goals. For his part, Percy pledges to be punctual in making his loan repayments as, in his association, responsibility is important. With your support, Percy will invest the money he has requested in buying several sacks of natural fertilizers to spread over the next lot of 'amarilla' (yellow) and 'blanca' (white) potatoes he sows.
