A loan of $3,550 helped a member to purchase shampoo, hair dyes, conditioners, makeup and other items.

Renacer Group's story

Fifteen women met at the regional office of the Fundación Paraguaya of the city of Paraguarí to learn about the entrepreneurial women's program, and since the idea pleased them they decided to organize themselves and thus the committee came about. It has as its name Renacer [Rebirth], since the group was reborn upon leaving behind problems which were generated in the group at a particular moment, but thanks to their group-mindedness they were able to overcome it. They have committed themselves to keeping the group together and working together with shared responsibility.

One of the members is Ms. Emiliana who owns a well-equipped hair salon. She comments that she has a well-formed customer base which helps her keep up her business. She says that men as well as women come to her and they always come back owing to her good work.

She is seeking the loan for the purchase of shampoo, hair dyes, conditioners, makeup, and other items, which are the supplies required by her business. She thanks the foundation for this opportunity for progress that she has.
