A loan of $600 helped to have maintenance work carried out on her machines, power washers and vacuum cleaners, and to buy work supplies such as liquid soap and polish, scented sprays, brushes and towels.

Martha Beatriz's story

41-year-old Martha lives in the city of León. She has three children. Her business is running a car wash. She started this business 15 years ago owing to a lack of financial resources. Her children would help her to wash cars after class or during vacations. She also used to sell clothes as an itinerant vendor in order to make extra income for her household. Her husband works in haulage. However, one day the couple decided to take a chance and set up a car wash business of their own. Now this is a business which enables Martha to survive. Her children support her in their spare time.

Martha requested this loan to have some maintenance work carried out on her machines, power washers and vacuum cleaners, and to buy work supplies such as liquid soap and polish for making the cars shine, scented sprays, brushes and towels. She will be able to better maintain her machines, buy the supplies she needs and provide a better service to her customers. One of her goals is to equip her business, buy new vacuum cleaners and power washers and gradually modernize her premises.
