Marachi B(Ii) Group's story

The group leader of this small group is Saida Z.. She is currently in the business of charcoal sales and is requesting a loan to expand her business. Saida is 39 years old and is married to a farmer. She has 6 children ranging from age 12 to 20 and only three go to school.

Each week, Saida makes approximately UGX 200000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan she hopes to be able to pay school fees for the children. Saida has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 600000 in order to invest in her business and the loan was paid back on time.

Saida is joined in her small group by Jane Nansirumbi, Sarah A. and Rose N.. Jane Nansirumbi has a butcher shop and wants to add to her business. Sarah A. is currently operating a business selling new clothes and wants a loan to expand her clothing business. Rose N. operates a business of new clothes and wants to increase the stock of clothes for sale.
