Procora is from the city of Maquilao, Tangub City, Philippines. She is a widow with five siblings. To supply their daily needs, Procora owns and manage a sari-sari (variety) store. In this type of work, she earns 9,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) per month and been in this job for almost 10 years.
Because she needs to purchase more products for her sari-sari store, Procora requests a loan of 15,000 PHP.
Procora has been a member of GDMPC for almost a year. She hopes to gain more income in order for her to let her children finish their studies.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
