A loan of $575 helped to buy coffee plants.

Augusto's story

Augusto, 42, lives with Yolanda, 37, with whom he has three children. Together they live in the community of Santa Rosa Alta, in the district of Pichari, where they have their own house. Augusto is an enthusiastic and hardworking man who was doing agricultural labor from a young age, thinking about the well-being of his beloved wife and children.

He counts on the support of his day laborer neighbors who work in the fields from day to day to earn some extra money. On the other hand, Augusto hires day laborers to make it easier for him to extract his products. He also trusts them to take care of his property when he is away. He is happy with the work he does since from a young age he has always worked in agriculture, thanks to his parents, who taught him this work.

Augusto considers his business profitable because the products he cultivates, such as cacao and coffee, are in demand in the national market and abroad. The problem he has is the appearance of insect pests, which are detrimental to his property. His plan for the future is to continue expanding his coffee production.

This will be his first loan with MFP, for which he is committed to paying off his loan installments punctually.

He will use the 1500 PEN to buy coffee plants.
