A loan of $700 helped to buy a bag of seed, six sacks of fertilizer, three liters or herbicide, and one liter of fungicide, etc., for the corn crop.

Zulma Jeanneth's story

Zulma is thirty-three and lives with her husband and two children. She has earned her living in agriculture for twenty years. Her parents taught her so she would have a source of income. She has to travel to the village to buy the planting supplies she needs; she walks twenty-five minutes, and once she buys the supplies she pays for transportation back home.

Zulma is seeking a loan from Fundación Campo to plant a plot of corn (7,000 meters), for which she needs to buy a bag of seed, six sacks of fertilizer, three liters of herbiciD., a liter of fungiciD., etc. Then she'll have the supplies she needs for the crop, which will allow her to bring in income for her family's needs so they can have better quality of life. In addition, they'll have grain to feed themselves.

Zulma hopes to make savings from her crop so she can give her children the chance to go to school and not have to do farm work like her.
