A loan of $650 helped to buy two cows.

Reina Isabel's story

Reina is 53 years old and lives with her life's companion. She is a hardworking woman who gets up at 4:30 in the morning to milk her cows and feed them. Later she takes the animals (cows) to the lot where they pasture, located four kilometers from the house. Later, she goes to her cornfield and works there all day long with her life's companion, since she has been doing this for ten years.

Reina, with her husband, travels to the city, with the objective of acquiring the necessary agricultural materials. The bus ride lasts thirty minutes.

The loan Reina is asking for is to buy two cows. With this, she will produce more milk and sell it in the community. This will mean more income which will serve as support for her and her life's companion.

From the income she receives, she will finish paying for the land. At the same time, it will allow her to improve her home. It is made of sheeting and she wants to re- build it with bricks.
