A loan of $575 helped to buy six bags of fertilizer.

Ronald's story

Ronald, 22, is a young dreamer. He is single and lives in his parents' house. Since he was little he has helped his father in agriculture, work he enjoys and considers to be his principal support for the future, since he was only able to finish elementary school.

"I enjoy working with the land. I feel that there I can perform better than in any other job," he says. He learned when to irrigate, when to fertilize, to predict the weather and so to take care of his crops to get gratifying harvests. Now he has his own plots where he grows potatoes and peas.

From the harvests he had a good income, money he's saving to continue investing in his crops. "After I get together the necessary money, I plan to build my own house on the property my father left for me, and have a family," he comments, a smile appearing.

This will be his eighth loan from MPF, so he hopes it helps him achieve his goals. Ronald is happy with his communal bank. He knows that among family and friends the road will be much easier to follow.

With the loan he will buy six bags of fertilizer.
