A loan of $375 helped to buy fruit in greater quantity for stocking her business and supplying her customers.

Maria Felicitas's story

María is 52, and lives with her husband and children in their own house, which has water and electricity. It is located in the urban area of Bambamarca district, which is part of Cajamarca department. People in this area make their living from farming and livestock-raising.

María sells fruit. She has her stand in the front of the market of the area where she lives. She has ten years of experience doing this, and is known for the good quality of her fruit. She has her own clientele, and the sales of her products have been gradually increasing, along with her income; improving her family's quality of life.

She has applied to Edpyme Alternativa for a loan of 1,000 nuevos soles through the Capital Semilla program. She will use it to buy fruit in greater quantity, in order to stock her business and supply her clientele, as her products are consumed on a daily basis. The increase in her sales will allow her to pay back her loan, and meet her household expenses.

María is a person with many ambitions, and one of them is that with her hard work, she can have a larger stand in the market, and have more home comforts.
