A loan of $1,125 helped to purchase children's clothing and accessories for her store.

Maximiliana's story

Maximiliana is a 39 year old single mother of three. She lives in the town of Catunrumi, Pichari, where she has her own home. At a very early age, she lost her mother and at age 19 she met the father of her three children, though some years later he abandoned them. There were moments of despair, but little by little she managed to pull herself up thanks to the help of her siblings and friends.

They pulled together some money to provide her with a loan, with which she launched a small business in her house. She now sells children's clothes for children under age six. When someone visits Maximiliana's store they are surprised by the orderliness and the way she displays her clothing. She pays close attention to detail, making sure that her store offers the most current clothing. She is happy with the benefits that her business has provided her.

This will be her first loan with Microfinanzas Prisma [Kiva field partner] and she is committed to meeting all her payments on time. With this 3,000 PEN [nuevos soles], she will purchase more children's clothing and some accessories for her store.
