A loan of $1,750 helped a member to buy lamps and quilts.

Miguelito De Collpani Group's story

The "Miguelito de Collampi" communal association will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, through the Collpani office. It is composed of six members, and is run by a board headed by Pamela.

The businesses run by the members of the communal association are varied. They include clothing sales, a tire shop, a neighborhood store, and selling blankets.

Pamela says that this is the first time she has worked with Pro Mujer, and that she joined the institution at the invitation of a family member. Currently, she has a business selling quilts and lamps, that she has been working on for five years.

The loan she is now taking out is to increase her capital, by buying quilts and lamps. She will buy these at markets, and sell them later at her sales location.

This activity allows her to generate resources to support her family, as she is single. When she is asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the skill development.
