A loan of $475 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Lilia's story

Lilia, 59, is an enterprising woman. Fifteen years ago she set up a small table outside her house with candy, fried fast food, cookies, bread and ice-cream to sell. She’s always enjoyed dealing with people and thanks to her kindness the little table she used for sales gradually became a large grocery store where she sells canned goods, soft-drinks, fruit, vegetables, snacks, cookies, candy and some stationery supplies like pencils, notebooks, erasers, pencil sharpeners, glue and more.

For Lilia, her greatest accomplishment has been not having to depend economically on her children since she knows that they have formed their own families and that’s where they should focus their efforts towards their wellbeing every day.

This is why she’s asking for support to purchase merchandise to better stock her store so that it will continue to produce profits for her to meet her basic needs while at the same time continue to increase her store’s stock.
