Somasse-Glotomey Group's story

SOMASSE-GLOTOMEY is a group composed of 14 people who all live in the same district and all work at income-generating activities. This is the first time that the group has asked for a loan from ALIDé in order to raise the level of their activities and better respond to the needs of their clientele. The representative of the group, Aimée, is the one who is raising her hand in the photo.

Aimée is 32 and married to a carpenter named Paul. The couple have three children, all still in their care. Only some of the children are enrolled in school. The couple share in supporting the family.

Aimée did not attend school. In order to support herself and contribute to the family income, Aimée has been selling spices and various other products from her region for about 15 years. She buys her merchandise in Bénin. Aimée and the other members of her group called SOMASSE-GLOTOMEY are requesting a loan from ALIDé to improve their businesses.

In this group: Aimée, Chantal, Cathérine, Pierrette, Brigitte, Léocadie, Patricia, Afiavi, Christine, Clarisse, Erodia Hélène, Léontine, Victoire, Adèle
