A loan of $225 helped to buy products to re-sell.

Mairam's story

Mairam is a 51-year-old lady who lives in a town in Senegal. She is married and has been working in commerce for 10 years. She sells seafood, palm oil, brooms and smoked fish. She chose this business because she had the opportunity to work in cooperation with a friend based in another region of the country who sends her products. Mairam has been a member of one of U-IMCEC's offices since May 2003 and she has already repaid four previous loans. She is requesting this loan for 100,000 francs to buy products to sell. Her goal is to strengthen her stock of products in order to make better profits from her retail business.
