Zawadi Group's story

Muhawe is the leader of the business group Zawadi. She is a 36-year-old entrepreneur who is married with seven young children, all in school. She runs a restaurant-cafeteria, and has been practicing small income-generating activities such as this for over 16 years. She just obtained her ninth credit from the Hekima MFI, and this new loan will allow her to purchase two baskets of potatoes, five liters of oil, 25 kg of flour, some Fanta, 20 liters of milk, etc. She wants her children to have a comfortable upbringing, and she would also like to expand her business. Muhawe wishes to thank Hekima for helping poor women who cannot turn to traditional banks.
