Mujeres Activas Group's story

"Mujeres Activas" (Active Women) formed at the initiative of Señora Adelaida. Currently, it is in its first cycle of Fundación Paraguaya’s program. It has 11 members, all of who work in an environment of cooperation and understanding. They are all self-sacrificing women with scarce resources, which is why they see the group as a big opportunity for increasing their income.

Candelaria is engaged in raising, and then selling, pigs. This is her principal source of income, which is why she works very hard. She says that she always has buyers for her animals, which is a big help. She is considered a very hardworking and self-sacrificing woman since everything she does is for the wellbeing of her family as well as herself. She is applying for the loan for the purchase of small pigs ,which she will raise, and to purchase balanced feed for these animals.
