Makongo K K Group's story

Mary, who is in her late 20s, is married with two children who are still going to school. She has had a retail shop since 2000. She works from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be her sixth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to pay school fees, household expenses, and improve her shop's inventory. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to increase the shop's inventory. Her dream is to one day be able to open another shop in a different place.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Makongo K K" which has a total of 16 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
