Evelyne's story

Evelyne is a thirty six years old, and married to a man named Samuel who is a salesperson in Kisumu. Together they have three children. Evelyne operates a shop where she sells clothes and has had her business for the last twelve years. She earns about 10,000 Kenyan shillings per month.

Evelyn is a longtime client of Kiva field partner KADET Ltd. and this will be her seventh loan. She plans to use the proceeds of this loan to buy more clothing to sell.

Evelyn will use profits from her business to pay for her children's education, and will also re-invest in her business. Her desire and hope is to always be able to earn enough to meet her family’s basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing.
