Alimaa is 60 years old and lives with her husband and child in a ger (tent like structure), in Huvsgul province, Mongolia. Her husband is in the agriculture business and her child goes to college.
Before retiring, Alimaa was an accountant. Now she owns a vegetable trading business, started in 2000. She also operates a tailoring business. She mostly sews souvenir for tourists, like felt crafts, traditional clothes and shoes. She has two tailors. Alimaa is also a part time craft consultant.
