Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Tuvshinjargal's story

Tuvshinjargal is 44 years old and lives with her three kids and her father in an apartment in the Baganuur district of Ulaanbaatar, a capital city of Mongolia.

Her father is a retired older man who stays at home. Her husband died in a factory accident and her oldest two kids are in college and younger one is in school.

She has worked as a pharmacist since 2002. She became a pharmacy owner in 2011. Now she needs more assets in order to run a pharmacy business well.

Tuvshinjargal is a strong and diligent woman who says, "Even though it was hard to raise three kids all by my own, I never stepped back and I never will."

She is requesting a 3,000,000 MNT loan to buy more medicine to increase her working capital.
