Zama Zama Group's story

Joyce is a 50-year-old widow whose husband passed away ten years ago. She lives in Gweru with her five children, aged 25, 23, 21, 20 and 16. Three children are still at school. She doesn't have any other dependents.

She is a cross-border trader who has been operating for ten years now. Joyce trades in South Africa and specializes mainly in seat covers and chair backs. The business is mainly affected by changing government regulations, high import duty and transport costs.

She sees herself opening a shop in Zimbabwe in the next five years and starting other projects.
