Properidad2 Group's story

The Prosperidad2 Communal Bank will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer. The group is part the Cascada Center and is comprised of seven members. They have a board of directors, headed by Basilia. The members of the communal bank are engaged in varied businesses. They sell food, bleach, macramé crafts, and plastic products, as well as sheep and lamb meat. Basilia states that this is her first time working with Pro Mujer, which she joined at the invitation of a promoter. Currently, she is engaged in food sales and has been working in this business for the past three years. The purpose of the current loan is to increase her working capital in order to purchase oil, rice, noodles, etc. She will acquire these products from the market in L. Ceja, prepare the meals, and sell them later at the markets. Basilia is unmarried and has two children, so this type of work enables her to generate income to support her family. When asked what she liked about Pro Mujer, she responded that she likes the loan training and the health benefits.
