Saby Carol's story

Saby is a member of the communal bank Semillas del Future (Seeds of the Future) located in the city of Puno in the department of Puno. She lives with her partner and they have two children 9 and 11 years old.

Savy makes and sells sporting goods in her own store that she has had for more than 5 years. She learned this occupation from her parents and also she inherited from them the desire to be in business, so she tells us.

It was her own idea to begin this business only with the help of her husband. He is in charge of sewing and the patterns, while she takes care of purchases and assisting clients.

They began their business with 500 soles. Saby has been working with Manuela Ramos for a year and her new loan will be 1,000 soles that she will use in the purchase of materials needed to produce sport shirts and balls.

Her goal is to have an overlapping embroidery sewing machine to make their work easier and to save time. What she likes about Manuela Ramos is the training and the meetings where women get together and share their stories.
